Make Sure to Obtain Emotional Support During a Divorce
When you decide to file for divorce or you are served with divorce papers it is important to obtain emotional support. The break up of a marriage can be one of the most stressful times in your life. It is normal to experience fear, stress, anger, sadness and guilt. With these emotions occurring, you will still have to make major decisions that will affect your life for a long time.
This may include important decisions about your child(ren). You should make sure you have a support system in place. This can be a family member or just a good friend. You may want to find a therapist throughout the process. Your lawyer is not your therapist. A person’s emotions can affect the legal process in a way that is harmful to that person’s case.
